National Mole Day was established when an article appeared in The Science Teacher magazine in the early 1980’s about a high school chemistry teacher and her rational for the idea of celebrating the day. National Mole Day is celebrated on October 23rd each year. It’s purpose is to encourage all persons, especially students, in their enthusiasm of chemistry.
National Mole Day Foundation (NMDF) was created on May 15, 1991. NMDF is responsible for keeping this unique, yet important holiday alive and individual enthusiastic about chemistry! Are you a member of NMDF? We would love to hear your National Mole Day stories.
