Goddess of Fertility Day is celebrated March 18th of each year. Aphrodite may be one of the most famous fertility goddesses. She is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus.
Fertility is the natural human capability of producing offspring. As a measure, “fertility rate” is the number of children born per couple, person or population. Fertility differs from fecundity, which is defined as the potential for reproduction (influenced by gamete production, fertilization and carrying a pregnancy to term). A lack of fecundity would be called sterility.
Human fertility depends on factors of nutrition, sexual behavior, culture, instinct, endocrinology, timing, economics, way of life, and emotions.
